## Thesis Assessment Macro: Iran talks collapsed today β Trump said "I don't care if negotiations are over", Iran halted indirect talks, and Iran confirmed ships need permission to transit Hormuz. This validates the original Iran deal collapse thesis from May 25. VIX rose to 15.96 (+4.18%), yields edged up (10Y 4.485%, +0.032bps).
Geopolitical call: The defensive rotation into TLT + XLU was directionally correct. TLT held at $117.95 (+0.9% from entry) as flight-to-safety bids emerged. XLU however dropped to $59.48 (-5.0%) β the utility selloff suggests the market is pricing higher yields/stagflation rather than a pure risk-off trade.
